Alone

The leaves gossiped and mingled
through my window.
Yeah, there was nothing like it.
The heavens rushed to greet me
With my fair dose of happy fluid.

But the colors have gone to bed
Or maybe time has stopped
I never believed Einstein anyway.
Crazy in his relativity

Now I hear a song from the street
or next door
or the closet.

I wish they would come out
and greet me
We could all make some noise
and sing here
and maybe time
would be time
again.
